One of the tricks to using an Epson 24” (SureColor P6000/ P97000) or Epson 44” (SureColor P8000/ P9000) printer on canvas is to learn how to properly lay out the image to create a gallery wrap. A gallery wrapped canvas is where the print is displayed without a frame with the edges of the canvas wrapped over the stretcher bar frame and stapled on the back. This alleviates the need for expensive framing and greatly cuts down on your production time. With a gallery wrap, some sort of image is usually printed on the sides of the canvas as well as the front. Some people choose to enlarge the picture to stretch around the bars, but this can dramatically affect your image. Other studios create a mirror template so the colors match, but these can be a real pain to stretch properly.
