This article contains troubleshooting information for the Kodak DLS software and setup.

There are several options to try if you your Kodak DLS in not functioning. Try the following workarounds to fix the problem.

1. VERIFY THAT THE KODAK MONITORING SOFTWARE IS RUNNING. If the products do not show up, the monitoring software may not be running.

On the Kodak DLS computer, look at the windows taskbar (push the Windows button on the keyboard to view the taskbar). You should see the Tomcat or Catalina software running (a DOS shell window that says TomCat or Catalina).

If not, you can start it from the Start menu; there should be a “Start Tomcat” option with the Kodak programs.

2. ENABLE NETWORK ORDERS IN THE DLS SOFTWARE.

In Key Operator Mode, tab down to network order defaults and set incoming network orders to be available.

3. VERIFY THAT THE IP ADDRESS IN THE REGISTRY IS CORRECT

Find the IP address for the DLS computer. The DLS computer’s IP address must be static (a fixed IP address, unlike DHCP).
If there are multiple network cards in the computer, make sure you use the proper IP address for the network card. This network card is connected to the network with the ExpressDigital computer.
Open the registry editor on the DLS computer and verify the registry keys’ IP address entries.

4 REGISTRY KEYS THAT NEED TO BE CHANGED OR VERIFIED:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Kodakminilab>DIMServer>Defaults]
“DLS IP Address”=192.168.0.24
