This article explains what to do when you receive the following error message, “The Microsoft DAO Engine is not installed on your machine. You may have problems accessing reports.”
Cause
Another application or service has been installed or some other event occurred that overwrote or changed the current DAO file.
Workaround
Open your command prompt by clicking on Start, Run, and typing in CMD. Click ok.
Type in REGSVR32 “C:PROGRAM FILESCOMMON FILESMICROSOFT SHAREDDAODAO360.DLL”
You should receive a pop up message stating that the file was registered successfully. If you continue to receive the error message or cannot get the file to register correctly, please contact customer care for assistance.
